If our trip through security was any indication, this is going to be a GREAT trip. We were standing in an unusually long line in the switchback, cordoned corridors of security hell when we were approached by a TSA officer. He pointed out that our boarding passes were marked “TSA Pre-Check” and directed us to a much, much shorter line.
Who knew there was such a thing! TSA Pre-Check entitles travelers to clear security with their shoes, computers, luggage and dignity intact. A simple pass through a metal detector was all that was required. A flashback to aviation’s past – and, I hope, a window into our flying future.
As you can see, Betty is happily ensconced on board, Kindle in hand. As soon as everyone settles in, we ‘re off.
