Gastón arrived shortly before 9:00. We had not expected to see any of the renovation crew today. The snow is still deep on the ground and it is a Friday so we assumed everyone would take a long weekend. Gastón said that he didn’t have any major problems getting here so the major roadways are apparently clear. The sheetrock work at least will move forward today.
Gastón was the only craftsman to show up today. By the end of the day he finished the kitchen, including the area where the water damaged sheetrock had been removed.
Much of the day was spent removing the popcorn from the vaulted ceiling above the dining area and the upstairs hallway. Gastón was working on a ladder most of the time. The popcorn above the stairwell is a challenge for another day.
Jason, the project manager, did stop by late in the afternoon to see how things were progressing and to collect a progress payment.
