Again, not much to show. The painter arrived at 10:00. I guess his commute through Raleigh is always going be a delaying factor. No surprise there.
I notified the project manager that we’d contacted the floor refinishing company and made our own arrangements to handle that aspect of the work outside of The Bath Shop contract. That will give us a little more flexibility as to timing. Jason told me on Day 24 that the flooring contractor would be here on February 6th (Day 29) to give us a bid on refinishing the floors. When that didn’t happen, we decided to take action on our own.
As a side note, Jason’s assertion on Day 22 that construction people were “made of tougher stuff” than mere mortals apparently didn’t protect him from contracting the flu. He has been out of commission during his recovery. Thankfully he is not passing his infection on to us or to his workers. This may explain why he failed to contact the flooring folks.
