As we thought about the coming week and what it will bring it occurred to Betty that the quartz countertop would be delivered Tuesday and that the damaged base cabinet has not yet been replaced. The cabinet company supposedly sent a replacement cabinet the same week that the cabinets were originally delivered.
So I sent Jason email asking where things stood. And more specifically asking whether the replacement cabinet needed to be in place before the countertop is installed. One would assume so.
We received a terse email response from Jason, “I will be there tomorrow. We will handle it.”
In the trust, but verify mode I contacted the countertop contractor. They were definitive. It is not a good idea to place a 15 pounds per square foot countertop on the cabinets until all of the cabinets are in place. That information was consistent with info from 3 other contractor friends that I consulted. So I passed that info on to Diana at The Bath Shop only to learn that they did not yet have the replacement cabinet. Ugh! Tomorrow is going to be an ugly day.
